MomijiComply
The training record, kept as it happens.
Courses from your own documents. Completions nobody can edit. One board across every location, and one PDF when somebody asks to see it.
In most companies this is a binder. Here it is included in every plan, Budget upwards.

How the record is made
A rule that assigns itself, and a completion that stands.
Health and safety training is a record somebody has to produce on the day it is asked for. MomijiComply keeps it in the same directory as everything else, so the person, the site and the rule are already the same records.
A rule, written once
Choose a course, say who it covers (the whole organization, one location, one department, one job role), how many days after hire it falls due and how many months until it lapses. Momiji resolves who that is on the server, so somebody hired next week is already covered and somebody who left yesterday is not.
Your material, your questions
A course is your own PDF in the document vault, hashed on the server, plus an optional knowledge check you write in English and Canadian French. There is no stock catalogue to buy into and nothing to import: the material is the material you already train on. The answer key never enters the question paper, and a submission is marked inside the database.
Four ways to finish
Tick a consent box, draw a signature and take away a certificate-stamped PDF, answer the knowledge check, or upload the certificate a provider issued. A failed check shows the score against the pass mark and can be taken again. Where the employer has to acknowledge the training in turn, that countersignature is recorded by somebody other than the person trained.
A clock on every certificate
A completion carries the day it expires, taken from the shortest cycle among the rules that cover the person. An external certificate carries the issuer, the certificate number, the day it was issued, the day it lapses and the file that proves it. Nobody has to remember a renewal date, because the record is holding it.
A completion that stands
Each one is append-only and carries the course version, the evidence, and a sha256 of the whole record. Nothing may be edited or deleted afterwards, by an administrator or by us. The single exception is the employer's own countersignature, which may be added once and never changed.
One board, every location
A row for each location, a column for each rule, and five figures in every cell: complete, due, overdue, expired and exempt. Any figure with somebody behind it opens their names, every row and column carries its total, and a rule that does not reach a location shows a dash rather than a zero. Exempt is its own state, never folded into complete.
Then it does the chasing.
It chases itself
Fourteen days out, three days out and on the day, the person who owes it hears about it in their own language. Three days late it reaches their manager, a week late whoever runs the location, a fortnight late the administrators, and it stays in the daily list until it is done. Notices to staff stay off until an administrator turns them on.
What it will refuse
Two things can be stopped, and both are off until an administrator turns them on: checking in to a room, and claiming an open shift. A shift claim is measured against the date of the shift, so a certificate that lapses on Tuesday does not qualify anybody for Friday. The punch is never blocked. Somebody whose certificate lapsed overnight still clocks in, stays on the clock and is paid.
One location, one period, one PDF
Choose a location and a period and take away a single document: a cover naming the organization, the location, the period and who produced it, a line for each person and course with the day it was completed, the version they took, how it was recorded and when the record expires, and exemptions in their own section with the reason each was granted. Every table ends with a totals row. Momiji keeps the pack, its line count and a sha256 of exactly the file you received, and a produced pack is never edited: if something is missing you produce a new one and the old one stays on the list.
Momiji records what happened, prompts before a date, escalates after one, refuses a room or a shift where you have asked it to, and proves what it holds with a fingerprint over each record. Whether an organization has met an obligation is a judgement about that organization, not something software can certify, and nothing here is legal advice.

Coming next
The rest of the safety record.
The training record is the first half of a health and safety module. These are the next pieces, in the order we intend to build them. None of them is on your plan yet, and nothing here describes them as though they were.
10Next
Incident reports
An incident, a near miss or a first-aid case, recorded from a phone in the reporter's own language, with photos, in the shape the statute asks for: Ontario's 48-hour written report, the WSIB Form 7, and Health Canada's ten-business-day corrective action.
11Next
Corrective actions
Every finding becomes an action with an owner and a date, chased the way training is chased, and closed with evidence.
12Next
Site inspections
A walk-through form per location, built with the same form builder as shift forms, with a photo field, on a schedule, its findings feeding corrective actions.
13Next
The joint health and safety committee
Membership by location, certified-member expiry on its own clock, minutes filed as documents with the retention period each province requires, the 21-day response clock as an obligation, and committee time flowing to paid hours.
14Next
Contractor and visitor acknowledgements
A no-login link for somebody who is not on your payroll to read and sign a site rule before they walk in.
15Later
Safety data sheets
A per-location register of the products on site, each with its sheet and a review date. Later: a course drafted from your own procedure, for a person to approve, never published unreviewed.
Momiji will record these the way it records training: what happened, when, by whom, with a fingerprint over the record. It will not certify that an obligation is met.

Included in every plan, Budget upwards.
There is no compliance tier and no separate line on the invoice.
The things people ask first.
Is it an extra?
No. MomijiComply is on every plan, Budget upwards, and it is not a separate line on the invoice. It is the one module that does not climb the pricing ladder.
That is a deliberate decision rather than an introductory offer. A training record is the thing an operator is asked for on the worst possible day, and putting it behind the top tier would mean the companies most likely to be asked are the least likely to have it.
Where do the courses come from?
From you. A course is a document you already have, published into the vault and hashed, with an optional knowledge check you write yourself in English and Canadian French.
There is no stock library and nothing to import from another system. That is a choice, not a gap: a generic course written for somebody else's site is the reason binders full of training records satisfy nobody.
Can lapsed training stop somebody working?
Two things can be stopped, and both are off until an administrator turns them on: checking in to a room, and claiming an open shift. The person is told which training it is waiting on before they tap, not after.
The punch is never blocked. Somebody whose certificate lapsed overnight still clocks in, stays on the clock and is paid; the only thing that does not happen is the room check-in or the claim. An administrator's lapse is not allowed to cost a worker paid time.
A shift claim is measured against the date of the shift rather than today, so a certificate that expires on Tuesday does not qualify anybody for Friday.
Who can see a signed training record?
A manager sees state, never the artifact. On the board they see the counts for the locations they run and the named people behind each figure, with dates. The signed PDF and the signature image stay with the person who signed and the administrators who could already read them.
A confidential employee is absent from every count a non-owner administrator sees, and the board gives no hint that somebody is missing.
Can Akiko answer a question from our own policy?
Yes, on Core, Professional and Managed. Somebody types a question in plain language and the answer is grounded on Momiji's guided walkthroughs, on a description of what the product does, and on excerpts of your own documents that the person asking is already allowed to open. It names the document and the section it answered from.
Which documents an excerpt may come from is decided by the same rule that decides what somebody can open in the vault, so an excerpt can never reach a person who could not already read the whole document. Excerpts are bounded at four per question, six hundred characters each.
Akiko writes nothing, never reads another person's record, and says it does not know rather than guessing. Its answers are not legal, tax or accounting advice.
Does Momiji tell us we are compliant?
No, and it is built that way deliberately. Momiji records who completed what, when, against which version of the document and with what evidence; it prompts before a date and escalates after one; it refuses a room or a shift where you have asked it to; and it proves what it holds with a fingerprint over each record. Whether all of that satisfies a regulator is a judgement about your organization and your jurisdiction, and it is not ours to make.
A rule can carry the statutory citation it comes from, read from the same jurisdiction registry the rest of the product uses, and the screen says “No citation on file” rather than showing nothing.
Does it cover incidents and the health and safety committee?
Not yet, and we would rather say so than let the name imply it. MomijiComply is the training record: rules, courses, completions, expiries, the board and the evidence pack.
Incident reports, corrective actions, site inspections, the joint health and safety committee, contractor acknowledgements and the safety data sheet register are the next pieces, listed under Coming next above, and nothing on this page describes them as though they were here.
Momiji records. It does not certify.
